Deep tissue massage and cold water therapy play a crucial role in enhancing performance, reducing soreness, and accelerating muscle recovery. That’s why these treatments are included in most of our retreat packages. For those visiting or looking to further optimise their recovery, they’re also available to book separately.

 

ICE BATH

A cold shower might seem appealing after a sweaty day in Sri Lanka, but our ice bath will take your recovery to the next level. Cold water immersion can help reduce muscle soreness, accelerate recovery, and prevent muscular swelling after intense exercise. We run ice baths every day from 10 AM to 7 PM, and sessions can be booked using the ‘Book an Ice Bath’ button below. Our expert trainers are on hand to supervise and guide you through the process.

Deep tissue MASSAGE

Take a bumpy tuk-tuk ride, and your body will receive a backseat bruising. Looking for more effective pressure therapy? We have specialists on hand to offer deep-tissue sports massages. Whether you have a knot that needs kneading or want full-body relief, speak to the Makahiya team to arrange a massage in our dedicated therapy room.
