Yes! Our retreat is open all year round, making it the perfect destination whatever the season. The high season runs from December to May, when you’ll likely experience hot, sunny days, great surf, and very little rain—ideal for outdoor activities and soaking up the sun.
The green season (June to November) offers its own special appeal. During these months, you can still expect plenty of sunshine, with occasional scattered showers. It’s a quieter time to visit, allowing you to enjoy Sri Lanka’s natural beauty and the retreat's peaceful surroundings without the crowds. At Makahiya, we train in all weather, ensuring that you’ll get the most out of your experience no matter the time of year.
